Fri, 3 April 2009 The Maple Leafs have officially been eliminated from playoff contention, the end of the season is in sight but believe it or not, it’s actually been a somewhat positive week in Leaf Nation. Two games this past week including a wild loss to Boston and an impressive victory over Philadelphia. The Revolving Door will be relatively quiet with Tomas Kaberle and Nik Hagman having made their returns to the lineup. Quick Hits will conclude the Redline Report with a variety of news including two college signings by the Maple Leafs, Toronto’s nominee for the Bill Masterton Award, league imposed punishment on the Maple Leafs and a milestone for Capitals defenseman Mike Green. On The Bubble features three great Listener Emails, the Junior Hockey Report with news on how the OJHL Semi Finals between the Wellington Dukes and the Oakville Blades played out and an explanation of the real purpose of Junior A hockey and of course, a Troubling Fact of the Week. To wrap the program, rigamarole will explain how solid direction and leadership at the top of the Maple Leaf organization has already begun to benefit the team.
